Caring for your Candles

The First Burn

When lighting your Camp Four candle for the first time, let the wax melt across the entire surface up to the sides of the vessel to prevent tunnelling, and to create an even burn for the duration of your candle’s life. This will make your candle last longer and create a memory for your candle to ensure an even burn going forward.

Burn long enough

Let the wax melt all the way across the surface of the candle. To avoid tunnelling and wasted wax on the edges, do not blow it out until the top layer of wax has melted all the way across. Burning the candle two to three hours each time you light the candle is also recommended. After use when the wax has cooled and set, trim your wick to 5mm again before relighting to avoid “mushrooming”.

Crystal Infused Camp Four Candles

Your crystals are a beautiful keepsake that hold all your positive and personal intentions and are there for you to enjoy long after your candle has finished. Your crystals can withstand extreme levels of heat and have been kept safely cocooned in your wax.

Once you have reached the end of your candle, remove your crystals with caution and gently rinse them under warm water to melt away any remaining wax.

As each stone is special and unique in shape and size, some stones may extinguish the flame of your candle if it moves too close to the wick. In the rare case that this does happen, we recommend moving your stones around and away from the flame with a metal spoon when safe to do so. Alternatively, you can remove your stones from your candle if you prefer once the wax is softened.

Storing your Camp Four candle

Always store your Camp Four candles in a cool, dark and dry place. It is also recommended to avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting if possible.

Bumpy wax surface after burning?

This is a common characteristic of 100% all-natural soy wax and is not a result of the candle making process. The wax may appear dry with a rough, uneven surface and other times it will dry very smooth, but neither affects the performance of the candle. Simply relight your candle, and watch it return once again to a nice liquid wax pool.
